I'm looking to buy my first Mountain Bike very soon. I will mostly be riding trails and bike parks, so I'm looking for something with aggressive geometry that will allow me to progress pretty far without having to upgrade too soon.
I have a budget of around £850, so not enough for a decent full suspension bike.
So far I've narrowed my options down to:
- Vitus Sentier+ http://vitusbikes.com/products/sentier-2018/
- Nukeproof Scout 275 Sport http://nukeproof.com/products/scout-275-sport/
(I'm a complete novice when it comes to bikes, so I really don't have a lot of knowledge in the subject.)
These both look like great bikes. The Nukeproof appears to have slightly more aggressive geometry which I am drawn to for trail use.
However, I don't have enough knowledge to know which bike is better specced for the price.
I would really appreciate if you could have a look and tell me which bike is better specced for the price, and which one you would go for if you were buying one of these.
Even if the Vitus was better specced would it be worth going for the Nukeproof for the more aggressive geometry?

I would also really appreciate if you could give me any other suggestions for bikes like this that I might have missed, as I'm sure there are lots I haven't looked at yet! (preferably 27.5" wheels).
Thanks a lot.

Other bikes to consider if you are after an enduro style hardtail:

Less aggressive but still very good trail bikes:

Vitus better specced than the Nukeproof in my opinion, better components overall however Nukeproof is slightly slacker. The difference between them is not massive however.0 -
The vitus has better brakes but the nukeproof has a beefier fork (34mm vs 32mm stanchions). You can't really go wrong with either but I would personally go for the nukeproof as the 65 degree head angle and 34mm stanchions will be better suited for the bike park. It's also worth pointing out that for £899 you can pick up a calibre bossnut full suspension.0
