Hi everyone,

The University of Westminster is conducting a research study looking at the effect of exercise and muscle mass on ageing. We are recruiting cyclists aged between 18 and 30 to take part in the study.

Briefly, the study is investigating the effect of resistance exercise on a hormone that plays a role in the ageing process. The study will involve participants completing a 6 week, home-based resistance band exercise programme and having to visit our Human Performance Laboratory at the University of Westminster 2-3 times over the 6 week period. Participants will be given all of the relevant equipment and training (all free), as well as free body composition, strength and fitness assessments.

It is a great opportunity for you to be involved in such novel and exciting research, as well as being able to use high tech equipment to measure your fat and muscle mass (which would normally cost a minimum of £50!) and to have a 6 week resistance programme created for you to complete... great incentives!

If anyone is interested in participating or has any questions/queries, please feel free to email me on w1665640@my.westminster.ac.uk.

Many thanks!!

Elena
