My new bike, and my first 'proper' full suspension MTB at that. Picked up the frame off Pinkbike, swapped over some parts and here she is. Yet to take her out for a shakedown ride other than a little pedal outside uni but so far it rides well - although i think rear suspension will take a little getting used to.

Cheers chaps, had a couple of rides on it - a proper ride at the downhill and then i knackered the cranks at Brenin so not really had so much time on the bike yet. Felt nice at the local albeit on smoother trails with some larger jumps. Not got much to compare it too apart from an old carrera banshee a long time ago lol

The Press Fit BB was a little rough but myself and the seller thought it had a few miles left - this wasn't the case however and the press fit bb was working out of the frame and pushing the crank off, culminating in landing a jump and taking the splines off the NDS crank arm. Managed to press the bb in again and cut some splines into the NDS crank arm and get it ride-able again but it popped off after about an hour and a half sadly. Its in the shop now just getting a BB (one of the only things i wont mess with are press fit bb's in carbon frames) and there are some cranks on their way to me - i'm away with work until Monday but hopefully by then parts will have arrived and i can get it sorted. Smiles per miles is the way to do it, atm i am about £250 into this 'upgrade' including the new BB, cranks and frame (sold an old parkwood frame i had lying about so i'm offsetting that against the cost of this). To me that seems very reasonable

Few updates. I dont know how much longer im going to keep the stumpy, im looking to go for something a bit burlier in the new year. Anyways, a deal came up on some Yari forks that were too good to pass on so i decided to go for it. Step up in travel to 160 from 140 before. I have the offset bushing in which has stopped the bb height getting up too high. These Stumpys did come with a fialry low BB and with the offset bushing and the old fork i was smashing pedals every ride. Will need to get out on a proper ride to test it out but driveway test and a spin round the block felt nice enough. Rough measurement with my phone suggests the head angle is about 66 now.

Also slapped some new bearings in the bb for the princely sum of £6, Minion DHF front and DHR rear set tubeless, 11 speed SLX RD, Xt shifter, Sunrace casstte and chain. Xt cranks, XT brakes. Probably gonna swap the bar and stem out soon too.
