will shimano ultegra 10sp RD work in place of existing tiagra 10 sp?

hi all

I want to replace to existing tiagra with an old ultegra I have in the drawer. both 10sp. cage length similar. The bike with tiagra has the non-concealed cables that exit sideways, I think the ultegra 10 came from concealed cable version. s it likely the shimano ultegra 10sp RD work in place of existing tiagra 10 sp?

    If its a 6800 (11 speed) rear derailleur it'll work with 4700 shifters. The 6700 / 6600 (10 speed) rear derailleur will work with 4600 shifters as stated below.

    From the description of the Tiagra shifters they sound like 4600 so they will work with a 10 speed Ultegra rear mech.
