Giant conduct disc brake stem replacement

I don’t believe it.... after my bike fit I had it advised to get a 70mm stem....so I bought one, because giant has the hydraulic brake unit at the top which I need....the stem bolt holes are further apart on the new stem!!!

All I want is a new stem with more rise, why is it so hard to change parts on Giant road bikes!!!!!!
