Hi,

I have a few days in Worcester coming up and wondered if anyone could suggest some routes worth doing from there or could name any sites that have some downloadable routes. I hope to stay central so as long as it's easy to get out it would be good to have some ideas.

Thanks.

Heading up towards Ludlow and Cleobury Mortimer will guarantee you some climbing in the Clee Hills. Head South East along the fairly flat Evesham Vale to Chipping Campden and Broadway for more good climbing, Saintbury and Dover Hills are close together, Bantams Tea Rooms in Chipping Campden.

You are with spitting distance of the Malvern Hills, loads of differing routes over the hills to keep you occupied - British Camp was the first KOM in the ToB last year - decent little coffee stop up there too. :)

It is also feasible to ride up to the Summit of Worcestershire Beacon which is a nice touch and beautiful. If that is your thing.

Malvern's good, you could ride south out the city following the river and then do a right over the hills to make it a decent loop. Ankerdine hill to the west of the city is a nice climb also

Ironically, we stayed in a caravan in Colwall in late August 2016, a few months before I started my fitness cycling and consequent cat hill addiction. Little did I know until the other day that there are at least ten Strava cat2 segments around Great Malvern, while the A(?) road that links up to British Camp by the cafe has a tasty incline.

I shall no doubt re-visit Great Malvern with the Cube... But more than likely, Bwlch y Groes will be my first cat2, hopefully this summer.
