Recently bought myself a second hand Lynskey mtb to go with my Lynskey Sportive disc.

Its a work in progress at the moment as there's plenty of bits I want to upgrade.

To start off the plans are:

Brakes,
Wheels,
Saddle,
Fork
Plus lots of little bits

Im after more of a black on silver look like my roadie.

    Mud will work.
Best not to park it in the kitchen afterwards though.

Good shout leaving Syntace components on, they are.. ace.
Sportive looks very nice bike with that short headtube, even if I am not sure about bent seatstays.
And I hate Lynskey for ruining Pro Cross bikes with that godawful twisted tube.

I was going for a black theme so made sense to keep the bars and stem, they're not cheap either which helped.
Really I love the twisted tubes, its one of the reasons I bought the bike.
Was tempted with a helix disc frame back when I bought my roadie but it was about £500 more so stuck with the straight tubes. Each to their own I guess.

    Very, very nice!

Must admit this is the first I've seen of the twisted tubes and it looks really cool! It's certainly different.

Will be good to see it with some chunky tyres on :)

What is the thinking behind the twisted tube? Is there an engineering reason, or is it just to make it look different?
Getting better slowly, one crash at a time!

Lynskey say its for added strength.
I'd say the improvement is so small that you'd never notice.
More of a gimmick but I like the look
