I'm thinking of adding to my small stable of bikes, and quite fancy a road bike that can I can take off onto trails in the summer. Been quite taken with the Genesis Datum 30 in it's 'Wrafton Green'. However, one thing is putting me off: namely, on the front wheel there is a 15mm through axle, whereas the back has a quick release. What do you do if you want to upgrade your wheelset - which I will be wanting to change for Hunt 4 Seasons? I was under the impression that with most disc wheels, come in either TA or QR, and I definitely can't afford to buy two wheelsets. Is there some type of adapter for changing a TA to QR, or vice versa, or am I missing something here?
What have other people done when wanting to upgrade their Datum wheels?
