ST-9180 Brake lever question.
Hi - I just built a Quintana Roo PR6 Disc with ST-R9180 brake levers - essentially I bought the frameset and then assembled it like a PR6 Race so that I wouldn’t have to have the Reynolds wheels - it worked out to be about the same price less wheels.
Anyway the ST-R9180 brake levers are different than the Dura Ace brake lever/shifters on my Cannondale Slice that I’m replacing (it had Rim brakes, not hydraulic discs like the PR6)
After assembly I was annoyed to discover that the ST-R9180s have only single shifters on the bar, not double like the ones on the Cannondale. This means the aerobar shifters are for rear deraileur, the bar shifters are for front deraileur instead of having both sets on the bar. (Yes you can move them around but you get the idea)
So if not in Aero you can’t shift rear. I realize that you can set it up to autoshift the front and I’ll probably try that but I was wondering if the brake levers on my cannondale will work onthe PR6 (just swap them) - not sure if mech and hydraulic matter etc. I suspect it will.
and by “built” I admit that means I bought everything and had a bike guy assemble it (shame, but I’m a beginner).
Any ideas?
