Roxshox Pike Damping Issue

Has anyone else had an issue with damping failure on their Pike? I've noticed I wasn't getting the full 140mm travel more 110mm, let all air out, compressed & the same, like a cork is stuck at bottom. On my last ride I hit a biggish root, heard a thud from fork & all travel had returned but I've lost all damping leaving me with a smooth uncontrolled pogo-stick....any ideas please?

    What damper?
    Open bath or cartridge (charger)?
    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
