Bike stand choice

Hello, I'm looking at bike stands and see a wide range in choices, so could do with some enlightenment from those that know more than me (wouldn't be hard, so a low hurdle to jump ).
I'm not too badly off for tools and get the specialist tools I need as I go. But no stand.I have a small and cramped garage full of stuff so mostly have to set up in the kitchen or when weather allows, outside. We have two adult mountain bikes (1 medium and 1 xl) and two children's mountain bikes (62 cm and 69cm).
Most standard servicing, adjustments and the occasional bigger job like fork overhaul is in the plan.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Incredible timing on your behalf. This Sunday:

Assuming you meant workstand rather than stand or rack or something else.0 -
I prefer the ones that support the bike via the bottom bracket and front fork as this involves no clamping forces on the frame. Especially when trying to undo a recalcitrant BB cup or pedal.FFS! Harden up and grow a pair0

Same here. Did have the ParkTools Team issue repair stand, but it weighed too much. Sold it and bought the Tacx stand which is much better and no need to fiddle about with the fork/drop out clamp as they're separate items.

It looks just like the Lidl one I bought about a month ago. It's cracking for the price0 -

I would never dream of applying any force to my bike through the stand. I just use my stand to hold the bike in a convenient position.0 -
+1 for the aldi/lidl bike stand.
It's a bargain at that price0
