Hi Guys,

I'm planning to do the London to Brighton next year i'm going to be doing it on my Trek Roscoe 7 Hardtail! The problem i've got is that the Trek Roscoe 7 comes with fat tyres! any recommendations on what tyres/wheels to use?

Cheers

On road L2B, or off road L2B? I’m guessing off road, seeing as it’s posted in the MTB section. You’ve got 650b wheels, so these

Should work, with the rims as they are. I would advise going tubeless, which would need the rim tape upgrading to tubeless spec, some sealant, and decent tubeless tyres.
Or if you want to cut out the faff.

These are good, I have the 29er versions on my hard tail.

I did it on a GT with Geax (now Vittoria) street runners and it was fine. They only come in 26" though so maybe something like a Schwalbe Durano?

Buy a second hand road bike and sell it on after the L2B ride.
It could be cheaper than getting new wheels and tyres fir the Trek.

I’d recommend doing it on a road bike, it will be far more pleasant that way, especially Ditchling Beacon, which is a chore on a MTB.
