Canyon ENDURACE aluminium vs carbon frame

I am torn between the aluminium (AL) and carbon (CF) versions of the Canyon Endurace. Here are the options:
AL 6.0 / Shimano Tiagra / 8.6kg / £799
AL 7.0 / Shimano 105 / 8.4kg / £999
AL 8.0 / Shimano Ultegra / 8kg / £1299
CF 7.0 / Shimano 105 / 7.7kg / £1349
Besides the groupsets and the frameset, the bikes are otherwise identical.
Has anyone tried both the AL and CF versions? If so, is there a notable difference is the ride quality?
In terms of weight, I am unsure whether spending £550 to save 900g (AL 6.0 vs CF 7.0) or £350 to save 700g (AL 7.0 vs CF 7.0) is worth it.
Does anyone have any advice?

I think 105 is worth £200 over tiagra, so I'd probably go AL7.0.0

Quite a price disparity from £799 to £1,350?Trainer Road Blog: https://hitthesweetspot.home.blog/

I havent ride any canyons, so i cant compare, but going from an Orbea Alu to Bianchi carbon the deference especially in comfort it was huge, so if you can buy the carbon version go for it.0

Go for the AL 7.0
Is it red?I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles0 -
I do think carbon in general soaks up bumps and vibrations better than metal bikes, if comfort is your top priority, then go for the carbon.0

That ultegra Giant in nice, I would go that over a Canyon any day, Giants always get rave reviews and you also get the back up of decent customer service if something goes wrong instead of the direct sales route which can thrown up its own issuesObsessed is a word used by the lazy to describe the dedicated!0

Thank you for linking that offer. I have ordered one!0 -
If you want ride quality and comfort surely the Defy would be a better bet if you go for a Giant - comparable to the Endurace. 28mm tyres would make a huge difference and the TCR, which has a more racey geometry, comes with 25s.
I've had an Alu endurace and an Alu Defy and the Endurace was at least as good in every respect and came up much lighter and better specced for £200 less.
I now have a carbon Endurace which is head and shoulders above either but should be as it cost far more.0 -
I've got an Ultimate AL, but have ridden a carbon Endurace a few times abroad.
Never noticed any actual perceptible difference in comfort, and the better groupset and wheels you get for basically no weight penalty makes Alu a better option I reckon.0 -
I ride the Endurace 105 CF and love it. It's a great bike. My previous bike was a Defy. The Canyon is miles better.0

I've got an Endurace AL 7.0 and its both my longest serving bike and the one I put the most miles on.
With 25mm tubesless turned on wide rims and a VCLS seat post make it very comfortable indeed. I've got the same set-up on my Cervelo R3 as it works so well.
My only bike that's more comfortable is my CX bike as it's on 40mm tyres.Mud - Genesis Vapour CCX
Race - Fuji Norcom Straight
Sun - Cervelo R3
Winter / Commute - Dolan ADX0 -

How so? Comfort, weight, appearance?0
