Less weight or Disc Brakes?

I'm planning to buy my first road bike. My budget is about $2500. I was going to get the 2018 Trek Domane SL5 GRVL (with hydraulic disc brakes), but saw a 2017 Trek Domane SL6 on sale for $2250. The SL6 is noticeably lighter, but it doesn't come with Disc brakes.
I'm planning to use the bike as a commuter to/from work (~15miles on a paved trail), some gravel rides, and maybe some races in the mountains.

2017 Trek Domane SL6: https://www.trekbicyclesuperstore.com/p ... 3466-1.htm

Thanks for any recommendation!

Personal preference, but if you are going to use it off road and for commuting I’d say the benefits of disks outweigh (pardon the pun) the weight difference.

The disc version is more a Gravel bike than the caliper road bike so would be more suited to your use, especially for tyre clearance.
