Hey,

I'm new to this forum, looking for a new bike. I've been using a cheap "trekking" bike (250eur) for the past year, driving pretty much every day (not as much during the winter). The bike has tourney shifters, some useless 80mm suntour forks, tektro V brakes... It does the job, but I want something a bit nicer considering I'm driving my bike a lot.

My typical commutes are driving to school (8km away from home) and going to store for things other than food.

I usually carry a backpack, so I don't really need any additional practicality from the bike.

I'm just looking for something that rides well, is capable doing longer distances as well and is just nicer than what I currently have.

The experience I have with single speed bikes comes from riding dirt and park bikes a lot in the past, but I'm not completely sure whether I should go with single speed for my daily bike.

Thanks for help.
