Recently bought a couple of jerseys and since found they do not have a Sun protection rating. I then read that most jerseys are rated at SPF 50.

Just wondered if that was correct? Do jerseys have an actual measured level of SPF?

    Some should have.
Remember Team Sky getting burnt during the TdF a couple of years ago?
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

'Climber' type jerseys tend to be just a mesh on the back, so they would only perform wicking function, but not protection.

In Britain you'd have an undervest on for 99.9% of rides. It might be different in sunnier climes.

It’s a Rapha Superlightweight jersey with no mesh on the back. Seems no different to some of my other jerseys tbh. Love it though as they are not shiny Lycra
