Converting older road frame to newer groupset

Hello, I have an older LiteSpeed Classic and would like to upgrade the components. I can purchase a Shimano Tiagra groupset (2018/4700) for a reasonable price, including a new wheelset.

Has anyone had difficulty when upgrading to a newer groupset on an older frame? I think the chainline should be ok with new BB, crank and wheelset. Not sure if I need to be concerned about any other potential issues. Thanks in advance for any help or guidance.

Road frames have been standardised on 130mm rear / 100mm front hubs, 68mm BSA bottom bracket etc since the mid-1980s so you should have few problems getting a modern groupset like Tiagra to fit.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

My early 90's frame needed the rear re-spacing to 130mm so best to check
