New Tyres?

I’m looking for tyres for a new set of HED Ardennes+ wheels. I have been riding Gatorskins and 4 Seasons on my previous wheels mainly because of the very flinty back roads in Suffolk and I wondered how the GP 4000S II compare as there seem to be some reasonable offers at the moment. The reviews I have read indicate that they are not as robust but offer an improved ride. How much of a trade off is there with these, I don’t mind occasional roadside repairs but I’m not keen on this becoming a regular factor.

I know the HEDs are tubeless ready but I'm not sure I'm confident enough for that step yet..

Thanks for any feedback.

I too ride flinty Suffolk lanes and find I need GP 4 Seasons in winter. A brief experiment with cheap Rubinos turned out to be false economy as a flint shard sliced right through the carcass on the second wet outing.

Summer bike had Pro 4 SCs which were a nicer ride but I had a couple of disastrous sidewall cuts in quick succession so I'm trying the Endurance version now.

In the summer I don't mind swapping a tube at the roadside if it doesn't happen too often.
