I need a replacement chain for a friends vintage 1 speed Dutch style bike. It's probably 1940s at least as it has a front rod brake. Will a standard new KMC/Shimano 1 speed chain fit, or do I need to get something specific to a bike of that age?

just order, compare to old chain and if all looks good then fit. if not then return chain.

Yes, that should fit. At least it worked on my wife's station hack which I reckon is 1950s.

what - the station is in the 1950s?

Does that mean that she has to time machine back every day?

If so can i borrow the time machine so i can go back to the day I met my ex and punch myself in the gooch repeatedly instead of going to the pub and meeting her, therefore saving myself years of grief?

Thanks! Good to know. My knowledge is all in 10/11 speeds so was a bit out of my depth
