Please see below post for frame in question. I purchased and it was advertised as a 2017 but I saw the exact same frame advertised as a 2016 elsewhere so now I'm worried there may have been some incorrect representation. Thanks in advance.

Figured out how to add image so you don't have to click ebay links. Can anybody identify this frame? Is i the 2016 or 2017?0 -
Looks like a 2017?
https://www.cyclestore.co.uk/specialize ... t-ID_67326
Where have you seen it as a 2016?
Mind you, I can't tell from your photo if that's a grey or white bit but is it the same as on here:
https://www.bikerumor.com/wp-content/up ... bike-2.jpg
If so, that article was from Feb 2015........
Sorry not an S-Works owner so I'm just sticking my nose in without any insight. Aren't the 2016 and 2017 models both "Tarmacs" or what would have been the SL6 so the same anyway?0 -

The Cyclestore link would have it as a 2017 while the Bikerumor link would have it as a 2016. The frame is probably very similar be it a 2016 or 2017 (since it is the same SL5 frame) I probably would have just offered less money if it was a year older than what was being advertised.
Also adverstised as 2016 here:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/2016-Specializ ... 0012.m1985
However that may be a slightly different paint job as it seems there is no grey in that one... Sigh, guess not much I can do here. SMH.0 -

There's no difference between the 2016 and 2017 frame.
Just be careful if buying from eBay.
There will be an specialized id number under the frame (bb area) which you can check with specialized to make sure the frame is genuine.0 -
Thanks for the heads up. Will definitely check that out. I am also getting a professional mechanic to do the bike build and will have him inspect the frame for any damage. Guy has a reputable eBay profile and seems to be an avid rider that is selling off some old equipment.0

Well if you can get a good deal then you won't be disappointed.
Do bare in mind that you can pick up the sl4 frameset for £1500 and the sl5 for £2k from numerous retailers, brand new with warranty.0 -

Can you provide the URL for some of these shops? I'm not familiar with where to buy non-production year bikes.0 -

Just search Google or contact your local specialized dealers. Plenty of 2014 - 17 models out there.

Well the frame arrived and there is a sticker on it that says manufacture date : 10/25/2015. Does this imply it is a 2015 or a 2016 model?
I know the next year models are often released in the summer of the prior year so my guess is this is a 2016 model, but can anybody else with an S-works that knows their model year confirm with their manufacture date sticker?0 -

Does it matter?
It's the SL5 which was produced between 2015-17. There was no changes to the design during this period.
Forget the year it was built and just enjoy your new ride!0
