Pairing SHIMANO D-Fly with Shimano CM2000 camera

Hi all, has anyone successfully managed to connect a Shimano D-Fly (pre-Bluetooth version) with the Shimano cm2000 camera?
The camera pairs with other ant+ devices such as powermeter just not the D-Fly.
I really wanted to be able to start/stop the camera with my shifters.
