Hello together.
i am struggling to make a decison for a new wheelset. i am not sure which of the two (Shimano or Zipp) i should choose. i know there are other wheelsets which are much cheaper and things like this. but i really want to make the decision between these two. i am talking about the clicher version.
So which of them would you choose if you had to make a decision for yourself?
Thnak you for the answers

Either of them tubeless?
Which have the wider rims?
Either have enhanced brake tracks?I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles0 -
I have sets of 302 and C24 wheels. Different types of wheel but to compare manufacturers:
The C24s are super stiff compared to the Bontragers that were on the bike before. Great hubs and quick releases.
I've not had chance to ride the 302s yet but they just feel more special somehow (and they were so easy to fit tyres on).0 -
Be aware that if looking at clinchers, the C40 is not a new rim - its identical to the old C35 and therefore quite narrow. Its also 35mm deep and not C40 as the name suggests. From memory the internal rim width is only 17mm so they're not great for wider tyres.
I have a set of RS81 C35 which are the same rims but with Ultegra level hubs. They are fitted with 25mm Michelin Pro4 tyres which are quite bulbous due to the narrow rim.
So if you want to run 25mm tyres or wider, I'd not bother with the C40s - its probably why they've been heavily reduced since not long after release.Scott Foil RC
