Getting back into cycling

I'm currently tempted to get back into cycling after 1 year out of the hobby, as I simply had no time... that's when I realised how unfit I've become!

I previously had the 2016 Giant Defy Advanced 2, so carbon frame and 105 groupset, which I paid £1300 for direct from Giant. What bikes are comparable to this with a similar price range, now that we're in 2018? The Giant Defy Advanced range seem to have increased quite a bit in their RRP in the past 2 years...

Or should I just buy back the same bike (used) for quite a bit less than I originally paid - I think they're selling for £700-800 right now.

I did see the Cube Attain GTC Pro Disc, but they don't have my size I'm afraid (Size: M or 53 - 175cm height), or I would have snapped one up immediately! Think I've missed the boat on that one!
  • I'm 178cm with ~83cm cycling inseam (short legs and long torso for height) and ride the 58cm, they size very short, I'm a 56cm frame for most brands.

Unless you are "all legs" at 175cm, you probably want the 56cm, which Rutland still have https://www.rutlandcycling.com/bikes/ro ... rey_373882

With the SAVE50 code, £1019... but check if using Topcashback instead of the code gives a better discount, you won't get both.
