Hello.
I am soon to be given a Falcon Olympic vintage racing bike, which apparently is in good condition. At this stage I am not sure of specific age or model.
However I would like to give it a complete overhaul. Can anyone tell me if they have any experience of this? Any help and advice would be much appreciated.
I do know the bike runs 27 and quarter wheels. Can these be replaced by 700mm or alternatively can you still buy tyres to fit the original wheel dimension. Would it be possible to get Continental Gatorskin?
When I get the bike, more information will follow.

Depends what you mean by a 'complete overhaul'. If you are getting the bike for nothing, that should give you an indication of its approximate value, so I wouldn't suggest going mad with the spending...
