Hi all. I'm in the market for some new shoes and considering some Bonts. Can anyone tell me how these size up compared with Sidi or shimano etc. I usually wear 43 in cycling shoes and usually and 8 / 8.5 in normal shoes.
Thanks

I am 43 in Specialized. I am 43 in SIDI. I am 44 in Bont. Lovely fit and nice room in the toe box due to the tub shape of the sole. i use Vaypor S and just be aware there is very little stack in the sole.0

Why not use the Bont Shoe Sizing Wizard?

Bont sizing wizard is useless.
I've feet 266mm ankle to big toe, 106mm wide. The wizard said I was size 43. Took me a couple of exchanges to get the right size as 44.5 - Bont Riot MTB.
The pain of this is that I ordered direct from Bont. They have a US$25 restocking fee for each return, so it added an extra US$50 plus shipping charges to get the right size.0 -
I wear both road & MTB shoes from Bont and I have to size up at least a size if not a size and half, and has others have said, forget the Bont size wizard it’s rubbish.0

best is to try in a shop
i've not used the size wizard, but i've used the chart (for vaypor s) and the fit was fine...
http://bontcycling.com/items/support/size-chart.html
it's important to measure the way they say and without compressing flesh, also try it at different times of day as foot measurement will vary
bon't instruction is to add a few mm to get to the final measurement, personally i would add 5mm on length, more if you want a bit of extra room, i.e. to allow for thicker socks or footbeds
when moulding vaypor s, you can certainly get a few mm extra width, but not length
in spite of what the size charts show, compared to vaypor s i'd say the riots feel about half a size shorter
fit is personal, i've got three pairs of bonts, all needed moulding to get the fit just right, then they're better than any other shoes i've triedmy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0 -
Wizard worked for me, plus some heat moulding0
