Hi, I think this may be a dumb question but here it goes

I have a cannondale supersix evo with some mavic pr carbon sl disc wheels. The real wheel is 9mm, the front is 12mm

I am building a Quintana Roo Pr Six TT bike. I am ordering new wheels but they won’t get here for a few months. In the meantime I was wondering if there was some sort of adapter to make it work so that the rear wheel frrom the Evo can go on the QR TT bike.

The QR is also disc of course, same rotors, same calipers.

It appears if your wheel is 12mm there is a 12mm to 9mm adapter, but if your wheel is 9mm is there some workaround to fit in a 12mm (the QR has 12mm front and back.)

I am new to bike fitting but relatively handy with tools, so i dont mind tinkering.

It all depends on your hubs, if they have removable end caps these can usually be swapped out for different ones to fit the axle of your choice. Take a look a the Hope Hubs website to see what I mean and for examples...
