Commuting on Electronic gears

Hello
Bit of a strange one but I was doing some searching on eBay and realised that the price of electronic groupsets has really come down. After some brief research, which yielded little, I realised that there's little information on either Di2 or etap. I was just wondering if we could all pool together our knowledge and see if there was a viable way to integrate either of these systems, hopefully etap soon, on to a daily commuter bike. I am currently riding a trek 7.5fx disc for commuting.
This has a 9-speed cassette so from what I know that would have to be increased to at least a 10 speed but past that I am really struggling. Any help would be appreciated.

I should have added this would be for a flat bar bike.

Is your bike kept in a secure place ? I'd not be leaving etap kit anywhere that wasn't alongside my desk.

Cable gears work fine too - and are lots cheaper.

eTap there is loads of info. It's piss easy to fit as there are no cables.

Di2 a bit more trouble but still easier than cables but may look a bit ugly if you don't have internal routing.

10sp I don't think is supported for the firmware any more so I'd suggest going 11sp.
