I was quite excited before clicking the thread... still am, but not sure about the black finishing kit. Have you thought about white saddle and tape to pick out white in the frame?0

Just for comparison regarding white tape, saddle, and all alloy shiny parts.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

This, unfortunately.
With those wheels, that stem and all those spacers it looks like a winter hack.
Sorry.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

Sorry.
Wish I had a "winter hack" like that.....
Seriously this bloody forum
Cool bike mate - reminds me of my De Rosa which is friggin cool too!0 -
Love it - the only change I would make is the wheels... with that build I would have gone for some Campags on there, I think that would then bring it all together. The Ambrosio's suit the polished look
Definitely going to get a Master one day...0 -

Its good to get "feedback" but please do what YOU like not what others say THEY would do! Been there now and got the T Shirt0 -
the nemesis rims are perfect for this bike. My personal preference would have been silver post, stem and bars but not white tape. However it looks fine as it is.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0

I'm liking that.
Be nice with an Ultegra or Dura Ace groupset though.0 -
Lovely Mark, you must be chuffed to bits.
What size is it?It’s the most beautiful sport in the world but it’s governed by ***ts who have turned it into a crock of ****.0 -

looks alright to me! I get the white bar tape and polished finishing kit but its a new bike, it deserves changers that work, brakes that brake and is worthy of a pimp. The black is fine.
If you get the frameset is it a threaded fork for a quill stem?0 -
I have changed the black headset for chris king silver one and replaced the bosses with campag record, silver.

The steerer has been threadless since the reintroduction. Certainly from 2008.
Also mine has since been pimped with a set of very shiny H Plus Son Archetypes. The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

Looking good, white handlebar tape yes, white saddle no..... As soon as you put a white saddle on you turn into an Elvis impersonator.0

How's the 12 speed? And Super Record? I always thought Chorus would suffice should I decide to go black components. The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

What was the point in the upgrade if you don't mind me asking? I mean, it's lovely... but that's a fair whack of cash for upgrading just for the sake of it.0

Very nice in deed. A slammed silver stem, silver seat post and black bar tape, make all the difference. Just for aesthetics, I'd remove the bottle cage on the seat tube, but that's just me. My 80s Master doesn't even have cage bolts on the seat tube, we didn't need hydration back in the day.
Silver components every time on a bike like that.0
