Fairly quick, very easy amd my kids like it.
Would suggest cooking the sausages in a frying pan before adding to the main pan at the same time as the batter otherwise they have a tendency to stick.

What sort of tea are we talking about? Posh, West Country, Northern, or the drink?

jds - tgotb Junior refuses to eat sausages, rather annoyingly. What sort of kid won't eat sausages?!? Same with chips

no dear fellow but no civilized man would drink coffee after 3 so it makes sense to switch to beer, hydration is VERY important

Much the same stuff as the burgers that she devours quite happily, I should imagine.

Maybe I should try a two-part toad in the hole. Sausages in one end, mini burgers in the other...

No, it's clotted cream *then* jam. Have some standards, man.

In other news, when did this become Cake Stop?

I didn't want to get into a "my yokel's better than your yokel" debate, so I was careful not to specify the order. West Country scones come with jam and clotted cream, and you can choose which to put on first.

Never had scones with butter *and* jam/cream, it's always been either butter or jam & cream. Is this another regional variant? Somerset?

All cycling should allow potential for the occasional cake stop, even commuting...
