  • I had some of the original Rapha/Cinelli bar tape when it first came out about 3 or 4 years ago. Had the black tape on one bike that was nice and lasted a long time before I got bored and ripped if off. I also put some of the grey tape on another bike which wasn't so good; was hardly enough tape to do the bars and it got dirty quickly.

I tend to use Specialized Roubaix bar tape these days as you can pick it up for £10 and it has the right mix of comfort, stays clean and lasts a while before you have to replace it.
  • I put the Rapha RCC bar tape on my new bike (same as the Pro level Rapha stuff) and took it off after one ride because it wasn't grippy enough and there was little in the way of padding. I put my go-to bar tape on instead (Lizard Skin DSP 3.2mm). Nothing terribly wrong with the Rapha tape, but just preferred the Lizard Skins
  • The original Rapha bar tape was absolute gash to wrap decently.
As above, lizard skins is usually the correct answer
I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles
