Seat adjusting trek madone 6.2

:roll: Help help needed I have adjusted the tilt on my seat numerous times, on my trek madone 6.2 to a touque of 16 as Specified
on claws but each time I come home the Nose of my seat as dropped about 5 mm out now becoming really annoying the bike is a 2011 trek madone 6.2 bontager seat can anyone offer any advice. I like my seat level. Cheers everyone.

    I don't have a madone 6.2 and I don't have a degree in "Stating the bleeding obvious" but if I had to make a guess I would say you are not tightening it enough.

    are the clamping surfaces clean/free of grease? you could try some assembly compound to increase friction (tacx for instance https://tacx.com/product/carbon-assembly-compound/ )

  • I use a torque wrench to ensure tight.

    And I do have carbon grease but seat mast is carbon but fixing appear to be rubber cheers a. Friend says there's something you have to press t adjust not just loosen ,adjust , re tighten. He's on Holliday for six weeks or if nip it round.

    you say torque of "16", presumably that is 16 Nm ?

    That's assuming the torque wrench is perfectly calibrated.....

    Which is unlikely.

  • Not calibrated but brand new . Urika I may have been solved it ? the compression collar had to be knocked out to allow proper adjustment as illustrated here
