Bought (well, ordered) the Mother Of All Lawnmowers yesterday, over 11 grand. Faaaaaaaaark.

Had Mother visiting overnight and this morning - also faaaaaaaaaark. Lovely woman, drives us insane... :D

Fired up the chainsaw to get rid of some scrubby bush but it died after half the job. Had to resort to the backup, which works, but is a bit blunt and very slow. Time for a trip to the sharpener. Have to get the other one sorted, there's a giant dead tree just waiting to become firewood...

Strewth, glad we don't have a lawn. Although I suspect Spinner has rather more land than we do.
Bit moist out, mild Thursday hangover is present so I wimped out and took the car in. Might go and have lunch with the EPO later if it's not too busy. Bit peckish at the moment, thankfully the left over biscuits from the training session were left on my desk so plenty to keep me going until elevenses. The rather lovely young HR girl asked which way I was going last night as I left, I think she was throwing herself at me because I'm a TV star now. Obviously not because she thinks I'm just a harmless old man.

    1. You have an HR girl?! She must have her work cut out!
    2. She was just doing her daily kindness, seeing if an old man needed help crossing the road.

Wettish ride in. Dinner at the amusingly named Poons later with Mrs H3.

    1. She's the junior one, the woman in charge of accounts is also in charge of HR. My manager is terrified of her, so I deliberately wind her up and make inappropriate comments in front of him.
    2. No, she definitely has the hots for me.

Mower has a 750cc V Twin engine that generates a paltry 23 HP. I might see if a Ducati motor will fit instead.

Difference being I'm not daft enough to believe it. If it were true I also wouldn't do anything about it as I can't afford to run two women or the divorce that would follow.
It's a nice thought though.

    ACOAD.

Long drive North tonight, so now waiting for the worst of rush hour to subside before I head out.

Day 14 over. 3 to go I reckon. Meh.

Where's TLW? Is it coincidence that there's an on going investigation in Salisbury, Hawkins dies with the data base malarkey?

    Laters.

Just watching Tomb Raider on la television Francais. It's trash.

Give me a good Die Hard or RED any day of the week.

Both the Old new banger and the New old banger are banging. The newish banger, well... it'll take more than a £4.99 bottle of plonk.

How was Lanzarote? Did you see any Tabby cats? Did you go red in the sun? Are you any good with a roller/brush?

No snow nor snowflakes come to that in Lanzarote. Plenty of cats of all stripes and as you know, I can get sunburned watching the weather forecast. Cats were fine.
The only rollers I am interested in are those beneath the wheels. missus has warned me of consequence of any crashes in the kitchen though.

    Absolute fanny to be precise.

260 miles driven in record time. Now enjoying a well stocked Northern drinks cabinet and now trouble n strife to frown at me :)
