Repeatedly getting logged out, posts missing

I keep getting logged out when I refresh, and the Pro Race forum doesn't seem to have a load of posts from yesterday (though when I'm logged out the page counts looks right)
E.g. This thread on Froome
viewtopic.php?f=40002&t=13087699
On the Pro Race index when logged out it shows as having 100 pages an 1987 posts (it got there yesterday).
When logged in it shows 99 pages and 1970 posts

Likewise, strange things are happening. Got kicked out several times. When I did get logged in it seemed to be yesterdays version of the forum!"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0

As above, repeatedly logged out. At least seems is not just me or my account.0

Happening on my iphone, gave up, seems ok on the PC for the moment at least.0

Basically all of Wednesdays posts have gone.0

Also - I don't know how after so long people aren't aware of this
Re: PMs - they DO sit in your outbox until read. That's normal0 -
What the hell is going on with this forum?
Disappearing pages.
Multiple logins to submit 1 post.
'Post topic does not exist' after submission...
Is it the Ruskies?
Has someone fed the server a Novochok agent?seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -

I reckon it's a certain poster that desperately wanted the post that turned the Froome topic to 100 pages, Pinno.... ;-)
I tweeted a link to this topic to @BikeRadar and when I clicked on it, I was taken to a post about MTB buying advice.
From the session management issues and missing posts, I'm going with: content delivery farm that's become unsynchronised.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0 -

So, managed to log in now where I couldn't earlier this morning.
Clearly a bit Donald, so any clues what's up?0 -
I got hold of Josh Evans on twtitter yesterday, who says the dev team is UK based so would be looking into it today.
My guess is that there's a load balancer in play, which directs your requests to different sets of servers depending on traffic/location etc. The load balancer needs to ensure your session is transferred if it swaps which server you're handled by and needs to ensure that each set of servers synchronises data between it's databases. If that failed then you'd get logged out repeatedly and the DBs would diverge.
That's just a guess though.
What I can see is that some topics - this one for instance - don't have a unique ID. This has the same topic ID as a post about MTB buying advice. Now it's possible that the forum is set up so that it's the combination of forum ID and topic ID that forms the unique key for a particular topic, and that the code should (but didn't) use both to pull the thread from the DB, but I doubt that. The duplicate IDs suggest two different DBs.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0 -
Apparently we switched databases yesterday and there was a split in the settings.
Hopefully login issues etc. are now resolved, but there may be posts missing from yesterday...
Avatars should be coming back shortly.
Let me know if you experience any timeout or login issues.
Apologies and thanks for your patience.BikeRadar Communities Manager0 -

Thanks Josh, I tried, 3 times last night, to change my password. Which, given I received emails, I assume happened.
But I can login with the old one still. My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

I'm still having problems logging in. Every time I come back to the forum I have to login again (in spite of having told my browser to remember the login details), and the login always fails on the first occasion with an error saying there have been too many invalid login attempts, and I have to tick the box saying I'm not a robot and try again. So what ever the problem is, it's still not fixed.0

This is happening to me too and a post I made last night is not showing; either in the forum itself or on my account as post made.0 -
