Shifters

I am running a 1x10 drivetrain on my bike, i currently have a 10 speed slx M7000 derailleur with a Deore M610 10spd shifter i was considering upgrading shifters but was not sure whether there would be much of a difference. I was thinking about the slx m7000 10psd shifter or the old generation XT m780 10spd shifter. Which one would be a better option out of slx and the old xt. Also would i notice much of a difference if i upgraded.
Any help would be great

    Can you describe what difference you expect to experience with the upgraded shifters?

    Or maybe describe what your current ones are not doing or doing badly that will be improved by ungraded ones?

    If the system is adjusted correctly so when you press lever to sit up and down and the derailleur moves the cabin appropriately, then what more do want?

    As you go up the shimano shifter range, there is a point where paying more does not result in any performance difference but you just get lighter and better looking performance.

    As I've never used anything below slx/lx I do not know where that point is.
