Currently have a pair of Reynolds 46 clinchers that came on a bike I've just purchased, think it's the 2013 model (narrower rim profile) and literally has done 500 miles looks brand new.
Looking at whether it'd be worth keeping these or selling them now whilst barely been used, and getting a set of new clinchers with a wider rim profile. Would there be much adavantage in doing so?
Cheers.

Depends on how you are going to measure any 'advantage'...0

if you have not tried a 18-20mm internal width rim then you wont know. night and day in terms of comfort. there is an aero gain although you are not likely to notice that but is there. you'll also get tubeless tyre compatibility and most modern rims brake much better than those of five year ago.
so yes quite alot has changed but does that make your wheel a bad ride probably not.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0
