Vino adds another thread to his obsession.

Note the weasel words from Sutton: "I understand that..."

Not the phrasing you use if you have actual evidence.

There's conflicting stories beginning to emerge now and real questions to be answered surrounding what was treated, who, when, how and where. Each of the major players are all (metaphorically speaking) looking to 'throw someone under the bus'. If only they could decide who it is they want. :D:D:D

I doubt Brad will be having that drink with Sutton anytime soon. :D

Sutton agrees that Wiggins never cheated and that cycling rules allowed him to take the drug Triamcinolone to treat his serious asthma problem. However, Sutton, who was grilled by MPs on the subject last year, would like to see Wiggins offer a more extensive explanation.

"I can't actually say I know a lot about Brad's use of it, whether in competition or out of it," he continued.

    Very feeble stuff.
Meanwhile in the other corner we have Vino posting a link hidden behind a paywall.
Not quite another anonymous source, but still.

Maybe Wiggins should offer to say more if his anonymous accuser comes out of hiding?

How many threads are you going to start on the same subject? After the two you started yesterday got merged into one of the other threads you should really start to get the hint.
We get it, you are obsessed with Wiggins. Did he turn down your advances or something? You really need to get over it.

For clarity, 1st questions I asked Shane Sutton were on his DCMS comments that Wiggins' triamcinolone use 'unethical'. He repeated claim, but couldn't give explanation of what he meant. Said both that it was 'unethical' and that Wiggins was within rules and 'genuinely suffering'.
    @skyorla

This was edited out of interview as Sutton despite being asked multiple times couldn't give a clear answer

Given the weight put on the original "ethical" statement you'd have thought this would have been left in...

FFS, why start another thread about this ? surely this will be covered in one of the many other threads that are going .

he's already been on the BBC talking about this, the DCMS didn't bother to interview so he had no chance to put his case forward there.

Not sure what more he's mean to say. Or does Shane Sutton basically think he needs to say something incriminating \ controversial rather than saying he's clean ?

Sutton is definitely a reliable witness then...

And FFS this did not need a new thread did it.

Can we please merge all the Sky is evil threads into one please? It's getting a little messy

Wiggins can't catch a break over Froome even on Bikeradar. :D:D:D

There needs to be thread amalgamation if Wiggins is to overtake Froome's thread that currently sits at 99 pages. :D:D:D

Not at all, as with most people when I start to notice a pattern it starts to stand out more I suppose. I'm certainly not the only one that's commented on the tedious number of threads on the same subject. If you're feeling lonely you can pretend I'm your stalker. I'm not his friend, I just find the whole thing is getting a bit bizarre. They pushed the rules to the very limit, this is not unusual at top levels of any sport. Look at Formula 1, they get the rules for the year and then look for loopholes and try to get the maximum possible out of the rules, often bending the rules to extremes.
Partial quotes because great long re-quotes of everything look messy.

Well stalk away. Im very well aware that people bend rules to extremes and i dont have an issue with that. Then again very few of them set themselves apart as doing it cleaner than clean with marginal gains, special mattresses and mood lighting. Oh and the odd grey area use of TUE and tramadol.

That Wiggins is held up as a beacon of virtue by many on here is odd given the bile sent in the direction of Contador or Valverde. Cycling is dirty, it always has been and it probably always will be but it would be nice if they didnt treat everyone as idiots in the process.

Wiggins is surely nobody's idea of a beacon of virtue, but he's an amazingly talented cyclist. Perhaps some people want to give him a bit of a pass for that reason, even if they have suspicions. You can understand that, surely?

Nah, that's a sign that to the British cycling fan Froome is the bigger doper and therefore less popular so Brad will be happy

  • That Wiggins is held up as a beacon of virtue by many on here is odd given the bile sent in the direction of Contador or Valverde.

There is one small distinction between Wiggins and Contador & Valverde. C & V are proven dopers who have served bans, Wiggins, as yet, is not a proven doper.

    DD.
