I thought the original consultation was posted on here but can't find it anywhere.

I've had an email from WAG with the results of their consultation/survey on barriers to active travel last year. More info is here http://www.assembly.wales/en/newhome/Pa ... temid=1829 but the headline figures they are giving are:

37% of young people surveyed walk to school most days
60% of active travellers rated cycling as unsafe
63% of active travellers rated the number of cycle routes as poor
55% of active travellers rated the directness of cycle routes as poor

Wonder if anything will change as a result

The following three might explain why everybody I encountered in Wales this summer appeared to drive on the pavement irrespective of the number of pedestrians in the way!

    Drive or cycle?

Both happen frequently around these parts

    Cycle.

Obeying red lights and pedestrian crossings were pretty optional as well. And I am used to London!

Lovely holiday though, will definitely be back.
