Fondriest frame

I am looking at building a bike for commuting mainly on road, a little bit of cycle track but that's it (I can take my current mtb if I fancy a different route on toe path etc). I've not got tonnes of cash to spend on it but have time to put it together so I thought I'd start with the frame. I'm quite tall at 6'5, but have found a fondriest m di campiglio frame for sale cheap and wondered if it would be any good for the bones of a commuter. The frame measures 60cm from BB to top of seat tube, and the top tube measures 58cm C to C. Rear dropouts are 130mm for 8 to 11 speed and its alloy with carbon seat stays. Doesn't have fork with it but is suggesting a 1 1/8 carbon fork. I'm by no means an expert but could this make the start of a decent commuting bike? If its going to be too small for me or no good I'll keep looking. Thanks.

I am same height as you but your actual dimensions - leg length/torso etc may differ. I think that frame may be a touch on the small side. You could probably make it work with a lot of spacers under the headset, seatpost fully extended and a long stem etc etc but it will look sh1t and always feel like a compromise. If cash is tight it may be your only option but otherwise I'd shop around for a bigger frame.

Thanks for the advice shortfall, think I'll keep looking, just seems big frames like 62cm are a bit like hens teeth (guess there's never been many about due lack of v tall riders). But I guess I'd probably feel much better in long term if I got a frame the right size.
