OK, not a cyclist, but obviously a sporting legend, a sad moment really, but comes to everyone in the end I guess.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

    Strictly amateur. An athlete from age 17 until completing his medical training age 25 (and he completed National Service in that time too.).
    A different world then, obviously, but as most people on this forum are amateurs a great inspiration to us. Look what he achieved when he could only fit in 30mins a day for most of his running career.

    Two legacies for modern day cyclists

    He's probably the first sportsman to rigourously apply medical knowledge to his training regime.
    As part of the Sports Council he was one of the first advocates for anti-doping programs.
