4700 tiagra chainring compatibility with ultegra 6750

Hi All,

I am considering the purchase of a bike that has 10 speed ultegra 6750 Di2. If this goes ahead, I'll be looking to change the chainrings. Would a 10 speed 4700 tiagra chainring set up work with the ultegra 6750?

Apologies if this is an overly basic question.

It won’t be possible as the ultegra 6750 uses a 5 bolt pattern but the Tiagra uses the newer 4 bolt pattern so they aren’t compatible.

As above. But having said that, any 10spd, 5-bolt ring in the same BCD will work. Might not look right on the Ultegra chainset, but it will still function ok..

    Thanks for the reply.

If I were to buy an entire 4600 crankset, would it work with the 6750 FD and cassette/RD setup?

Of course it will. The FD and RD don't care what chainring/chainset you use...

Or you could use a Shimano CS-R565 10sp crankset.

Why are you getting rid of the di2 ?

    Hi All,

    Thanks for the replies :)

I'm not getting rid of the Di2. I'm looking to buy a used cyclocross bike (with 46/32 chainring) but want to fit a more standard road setup (50/34)
