I have now walked the dog and am pleased to say that cold easterly wind has virtually dropped, it definitely felt milder, or is it just me hoping for a weekend thaw

More snow overnight will make the youngest birthday party fun, later should be local, but we have other brats staying over

    Morning folks,
Snow mostly gone here, felt appreciably warmer when I got back last night as the mercury was above zero. Not much going on today, out for a friend’s 50th tonight. A lot of my friends seem to be getting really old all of a sudden.

Bored. Waiting for a delivery of stuff for the new kitchen going in next week and its late so can't do anything till then. At least its thawing out here, went to de-ice the car and it just slid off. May even run later if it reaches the heady 5C forecast.

Having a gin and tonic to soothe head. Seems to be working.

RGV engine has had to go the mechanic - making rumbling noises. Buggeration.

Kids party worked a treat, not one kid cried despite lots of snowball fights and sledging/snowboarding crashes

Classic as the wife looks at me and says I can’t believe you have got them standing up on the snowboard it’s ferkin dangerous - I then mentioned that just out of sight we had built a ramp and the were jumping(ish) it

Should have asked her how you're meant to ride a snowboard?

Agree completely on both counts. Now on the red.

Heads and barrels are off and no answer to problem. Full engine strip down hex week. Buggerrrrrrr.

    Git.

A large g & t and half a bottle of red seems to be working - back to about 75% awesomeness.

Not looking forward to tomorrow morning though.

Ooh - TDV has just walked in bearing a glass of cold Peroni.

Sometimes I remember why she was so lucky to marry me.

True, that's what happens when you try things maybe not suited to your body at the time,i did something similar years ago when my son who was into skateboarding was in the back garden with a friend doing tricks etc and i was watching and laughing with them and just for fun i tried a handstand on a skateboard, well it was cool for about two seconds then it hurt,we still laugh about it.

Walked dog. Got a haircut. Entered velo south with a couple of pals. Thinking about a new bike now, but I really have no idea what I want, so i probably don't need one.

Nah, I just like short hair. Going a bit bald, which always looks better if you keep it short. It's every 5 weeks.

She has been known to stand there looking at me going "what did I do to deserve this" in her Kyrygystani accent while slowly sharpening her kukri.

I interpret it as a good thing.
