garmin connect route planning

im having problems with garmin connect . no problem plotting route . but cant name it after .searched on line and the instruction say there should be a pencil icon to click on to name the route . cant see one . anyone know how to solve this .

    I had the same problem. Devised a route but unable to name it.
    If I remember correctly save the route the go to your routes and you have the option to edit any of them. Click on edit for the unned route and you should then be able to rename and save that new route with the name you chose.

    Just checked and go to 1 courses, open your unnamed route, 2 left below elevation and data is expand. 3 Click on this, there are 3 dots to right bottom of this data box, 4 click on that options show edit, 5 click that and rename.
    Sorted.

    You have to click on the pencil to the right of "untitled" in the large box lower left of page. This then turns into a green tick, you can enter your course name. Click on the tick again when you have finished and hey presto your course has a name. :D:D:D

    Or if you have the garmin connect app on your phone the saved route will be on there and you can then edit the title and bluetooth it to your device. The app will also let you create a route, just enter the direction you wish to head in and the mileage you want to do and it will create a route for you.

    Strava is much easier for plotting routes for a garmin!

    yep . will just use map my ride instead . piss poor that a company like garmin have such a bad mapping site . it was fine before they updated it :roll:

    Not sure why you're having trouble tbh? Renaming a course is easy. Maybe post a screen shot of what you are seeing?

    Maybe he's paid for 3 routes and then tried to cancel but Garmin have gone home for the weekend? :lol::lol::lol:
