Taking a bike on Emirates

Just about to fly with Emirates and wanted to do online check in. This says that if you have any rechargeable batteries, they cannot go into the hold and you can't check in online at all, but have to go check in at the airport.
Has anyone had any issues with Di2 seat post batteries? I have removed it to put it into the hand luggage, but would be somewhat challenged if not allowed to take it on the flight!

the usual rule is that spare/loose batteries must be in cabin baggage, installed is different, they are typically ok in the hold, you should always check with the specific airline's rules
emirates rules are here

can't see an installed di2 battery being an issue, if in doubt call the airlinemy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0 -
For safety's sake I'd remove it / hand carry. Some places, e.g. Finland are particularly vigilant and will remove 'prohibited articles' from your hold baggage and leave you a nice note to find upon unpacking. I've hand-carried large quantities of rechargeable / lithium batteries in my hand luggage for an expedition - they didn't bat an eyelid.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
