I've always used locking skewers on my commuter. My new bike will have thru-axles, does anyone use a locking mechanism for these? They don't seem very common at all.
However, as is typical with modern bikes, there's many 'standards' in terms of thread pitch etc, so you would need to check exactly which ones are required.
New bike arrived today, didn't need to waste time looking for locking thru-bolts.
Tighten the wheel then use an Allen key to remove the lever...ingenious. Not sure if that's standard with thru-bolts but I'm impressed. Better than what I had before, you need an actual quick release lever to remove these not just an Allen key.

Yes I've used hex bolts before. Do you have a link to one for a thru axle?
