Locking a Thru Axle

I've always used locking skewers on my commuter. My new bike will have thru-axles, does anyone use a locking mechanism for these? They don't seem very common at all.

If not, another lock it is.0

You can get hex bolt axles for most frames/forks, which gives slightly better security than a QR style.0

Yes I've used hex bolts before. Do you have a link to one for a thru axle?0 -
I have some Mt Zoom ones in occasional use on an MTB - For example:
12mm front - http://www.xcracer.com/shop/viewproduct ... ductid=435
142x12mm rear - http://www.xcracer.com/shop/viewproduct ... ductid=415
However, as is typical with modern bikes, there's many 'standards' in terms of thread pitch etc, so you would need to check exactly which ones are required.0 -
Brilliant, thank you.0

New bike arrived today, didn't need to waste time looking for locking thru-bolts.
Tighten the wheel then use an Allen key to remove the lever...ingenious. Not sure if that's standard with thru-bolts but I'm impressed. Better than what I had before, you need an actual quick release lever to remove these not just an Allen key.0
