Velo South or L'Etape London both on 23 Sept

It seems a bit silly to me two big sportives clash so directly - I would have thought they might be better able to co-ordinate things.

Anyway, assuming you are able to do either, which one would you prefer to do? Yes, I'm basically crowd sourcing my decision on which sportive to do.

I'm doing Velosouth because it is my patch, want to see what riding the roads I know very well when they are closed. Plus I might be able to wangle a (free) Business entry.
It is strange the London ride is on the same day; I could have done the London one almost as easily as anyone else in the south. But having looked at the route, it's hardly London, more like Essex.

Velo South for the closed roads. Having said that, I chose L'Etape Dragon for the hills and distance as Velo Wales didn't look like a real step up from what I've already done.

But I think the VS beats L'E London on route as well as the closed roads.
