It's a beautiful event... it clashes with a 300 km Audax I want to do, but I highly recommend the Retroronde, it still retains all the authentic feel, which no longer exists in the Eroicaleft the forum March 20230

That wouldn't matter, as the route does not go up the Paterberg. It doesn't follow the RVV and that's the beauty, as you get to see roads you haven't already.
The only muur which is in common is the Oude Kwaremont and you don't do it all, as you turn right half way up. You get to do an interesting one, called "Rampe", basically the cobbles go downhill and then suddenly up, a lot of people can't change gear quick enough and have to get off.left the forum March 20230 -

Could be a business opportunity... there are stalls of vendors and you could easily have a wheelbuilding demo stand the day before, maybe with some vintage lookalike rims like the TB 14 or some Nemesis... it's always busy and being in Belgium, they might not ask for crazy money to put up a stand.
It's a fantastic weekend in the Belgian capital of cycling and not very expensive at allleft the forum March 20230
