Is the Tacx Satori 'Smart' controllable by TrainerRoad, Zwift etc?

Likely dumb question, but I'm trying to help a friend plan towards getting a turbo and perhaps a TR membership next winter, and I was fairly sure the Satori is pretty similar to the Vortex, which I know is controllable in ERG mode via external apps.

Can anyone confirm this is the case for the Satori please?

I did google, and looked at reviews, but couldn't find anything definitive.

*I realise Ant or bluetooth stick etc may be required.

Thanks

  • I don't think it is FE-C, the 2240 is and then you move up to the Vortex in the Tacx range.

Ah ok NO, didn't realise the FE-C was the determining factor.

Wonder how it qualifies as 'Smart' then.

She's going to be on a budget - guess the Vortex is the cheapest out there - in theory?

    Thanks

No it's one of those that is "smart" because it transmits watts (not necessarily all that accurate) to software like zwift. You can see from the picture that it has one of those handlebar things for adjusting resistance.

It's "one way" smart... As in outputs power & cadence numbers. Control is via an umbilical lever shifter.

The T2240 Flow is the cheapest entry into controllable
