ANY DECENT APPS FOR PREPARING YOUR ROUTES?

Hi I’ve only just recently started taking mtbing fairly serious and just struggling to find an app to do what I actually want to do on it like pre plan my route and let it it navigate me? Like I use the trans pennine trail a fair bit but it’s quite easy to take the wrong turn and end up a fair bit away from we’re i want to be without realising so if you know of any or something that I can choose the routes I want to go before my ride it would be a massive help

    Viewranger, can plot your own routes and import GPX files.

    I use bike hike route planner on their website so is nor an app. It uses OS maps which I like /understand.

    Trailforks is really good. I've used it a few times when I've been checking out new trails and needed to know which direction to go.

    The other alternative is to get a cheap GPS unity (like a Garmin 300 which will cost like £25 from eBay) and upload a GPX file to it so that it can navigate you too.
