Sram chainring on shimano crankset

Can Sram X-Sync 104mm bolt chainring be mounted on Shimano xtr m970 crankset, and work properly? Thanks!

As long as the BCD is the same, which it seems to be, it should work ok. Sometimes might need a bit of filing to fit perfectly.
