Canyon Endurace Size Advice

I've looked around and couldn't see anything to this effect, so apologies if this has already been covered elsewhere! I want to pick up a Canyon Endurace CF SLX and need some size advice from anyone who's ridden one. I'm 6 foot 4 inches and the Canyon PPS says I'm an XL, but my height has me at the exact top end of the size L and exact bottom end of XL. Can anyone suggest the best thing to do? Is it better to be large on a small bike or small on a large bike??

I have the same bike but unfortunately I'm at the other end of the scale. I was on the limit between XS and S and went for the small which fits perfectly. I knew this would work for me as my wife had an XS which was too small.
That said the received wisdom is always to buy the smaller frame. An additional problem though is, if like mine, it comes with the aero bars then there is no ability to change the stem.0 -
The handlebar's one of the things that complicates matters for me too. I love the clean look of the one piece unit, but I'm aware that this leaves me with less scope to tinker with the front end.0

Give them a call, they offer very good sizing advice. I was in between sizes, told me the way to go and worked out great.Trainer Road Blog: https://hitthesweetspot.home.blog/
